Canada Awards Telesat US$1.9 Billion Contract to Expand Lightspeed Constellation for Arctic Military Communications

Ottawa's Defence Investment Agency has tapped Telesat and satellite manufacturer MDA Space to add 69 satellites to the Lightspeed LEO constellation, establishing secure military connectivity across the Canadian Arctic.
