Starship's 14th test flight achieved orbital insertion for the first time and demonstrated functional in-orbit satellite deployment, advancing the vehicle toward eventual operational use as a high-capacity constellation delivery system.
With Ship 41 and Booster 21 stacked and cleared through pre-flight testing, Starship's fourteenth mission—scheduled for late September 2026—marks the vehicle's first attempt at orbital flight and its first operational payload delivery.
SpaceX has formally notified regulators that Flight 14 will target orbit for the first time, with Florida East Coast launch facilities being readied for a debut in the coming weeks.
